BRIEF DESCRIPTION/INDICATION
Flux SR® is indicated for the treatment of essential arterial hypertension. Flux SR® is an extended-release tablet containing indapamide as its active ingredient. Indapamide is a diuretic. Most diuretics increase the amount of urine produced by the kidneys. However, indapamide is different from other diuretics in that it causes only a subtle increase in the amount of urine produced. Flux SR® (indapamide) acts to control blood pressure through a vascular mechanism, keeping it within physiological limits. The antihypertensive activity of Flux SR® (indapamide) is maximum in the first hour after administration of a single dose and is maintained for at least 24 hours.
