Biolab Farmacêutica takes part in medical expedition with NGO Doctors of the World in Muzambinho

The action, which included free medical care between September 5 and 7, was promoted by the NGO Doctors of the World.

Biolab Farmacêutica, the exclusive supporter, in partnership with Profarma Distribuição, strengthened its joint efforts to expand access to healthcare in vulnerable regions. In addition to the more than 400 consultations carried out, around 2,000 boxes of medicines were distributed.

"By supporting another Doctors of the World expedition, this time in Muzambinho, we are reaffirming our commitment to bringing health and care to vulnerable communities. As a national pharmaceutical company, we understand that our role goes beyond developing treatments: it involves making a concrete contribution to expanding access to health and promoting quality of life in regions that need it most," said Tati Marques, Biolab's Director of Corporate Communication, Education and Sustainability.

The company provided the necessary support, including logistics, structure and resources, including medicines and supplements from its portfolio. During the three days, the local community had access to consultations and services in various specialties, such as psychiatry, gynecology and obstetrics, pediatrics, pediatric cardiology, radiology, echocardiography, family and community medicine, orthopedics, dentistry and psychology.

"It's very meaningful to be alongside the Doctors of the World on yet another expedition. For us, each action represents an opportunity to bring health professionals closer to communities and to strengthen our social role," says Deborah Birmarcker, ESG director of the Profarma Group and president of the Profarma Institute.

"The expedition showed the importance of collaboration between companies and social organizations to expand access to healthcare for those who need it most," added Biolab director Tati Marques.
