BRIEF DESCRIPTION/INDICATION
Ezetimibe is indicated to reduce the amount of cholesterol and triglycerides in your blood. It acts by reducing the absorption of cholesterol in the small intestine, while other lipid-lowering drugs such as statins and fenofibrate lower cholesterol in a different way; they act in the liver. Therefore, ezetimibe increases the cholesterol-lowering effect of vastatins and fenofibrate.
